If you or a loved one place Bridgestone/Firestone Steeltex A/T tires on your motor vehicle, you need to know that they have a history of defects resulting in a recall by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Continuing to drive with a damaged or otherwise erroneous tire increases your risk of dying or suffering from a serious injury in a blowout, tread separation, roof crush or rollover accident.

If You Have a Tire Failure Lawsuit
You may be tempted to send your damaged tire – or all the remaining treads and pieces that you can find – back to the manufacturer for study. This is not a good idea, especially if you or a loved one have suffered a serious injury in the accident and you plan on filing a case against the responsible party. Keep anything and everything that could help your argument in your possession, as this provides your personal injury attorney with crucial evidence for inspection and analysis.
